Invite a client and share the right link

A personalized onboarding link identifies one assigned flow. A portal membership identifies who can enter an ongoing client account. Do not substitute one for the other.

Prepare the invitation

Search for the contact by their exact email before creating another record. Confirm the workspace, published flow, recipient name, email and company. Reuse the appropriate existing identity and account where supported.

Send once

Use the flow's Add client or Send onboarding link action and inspect the invitation options shown. Normal onboarding invitation creation can send email. Do not generate a real client record simply to copy a public demo link. After sending, check the record and saved personalized URL before resending.

Public registration is different

A public flow link allows people with the URL to start registration. Publishing the flow does not enable that link by itself. The public-link feature has its own eligibility and activation checks. Use it only when open registration is intended, and never put private client details in a public link.

Help a client resume

Find the existing onboarding and use its saved resume/personalized link. Check the client's identity before sharing. If an email is missing, inspect the original send result and spam folder rather than creating repeated invitations. See access troubleshooting.
