Plan milestones and approval handoffs
Milestones group related delivery work. Their start and finish rules can require agency or client decisions, so a finished task does not always complete the whole phase.
Define the phase
Choose the client account and create a milestone with a clear title, description, start date and target date where appropriate. Add the tasks and deliverables needed to make the phase reviewable.
Set decision ownership
Review who may start the phase, who may approve completion and whether changes require a gate. Explain the acceptance criteria to the client. Use the offered preview and publication controls so held or staged work is not mistaken for a client-visible update.
Work through a review
Start the phase when ready. When the work is reviewable, submit it for completion approval if the configured workflow requires that. The authorized reviewer can approve or request changes. Read the reason, update the related tasks and files, then request another review when appropriate.
Confirm the actual result
Check the saved milestone state and the client's visible view after publishing or transition. Do not mark a milestone approved just because a file was uploaded or a chat message said thanks. Keep the approval attached to the intended phase and version.
